Aaron's Blog: Week 8
Mon 23 Apr 2012

There's nothing quite like the energy in a gym when everyone in there is striving to make progress! It's contagious, if someone could bottle it they'd make a fortune! I say this because Easter Monday I went to train at Dean's Technogym in Oldbury with one of my best friends, Adam. The place was packed with people training (no doubt working off those Easter Eggs!) but the electricity and vibe in there was awesome! There's nothing quite like it! Considering my sleep is all over the place and energy levels take peaks and valleys I had one of the best sessions in a while!
This week I've been experimenting with extra pre-workout supplements, aside from my beloved Hades. When your body fat is right the way down in the single digits, the body has already expelled most of its excess fluid. This leads to muscle cramps, which can be a little annoying and very painful! I get it very badly in my outer forearms, especially when doing an exercise like dumbbell flies. I've always spoken very highly of OneOn's Electrolyte Powder, it contains everything needed to put essential salts back into the body and it rids this cramping issue and allows training as normal - supplementation used at it's best and most effectiveness!
I've also been trialing OneOn's Tri-Malate Creatine as opposed to my usual favourite of Kre-Alkalyn to see if there's any difference in effect. Too early to say at the moment but it's looking positive!
As I mentioned earlier, my sleep is all over the place at the moment. I'm often waking up every hour in the night, and I mean WIDE awake for no reason at all. The body does all sorts of weird things because it doesn't want or like the fact you're taking away a survival mechanism it has - body fat. Whilst pre-contest dieting I do find supplementing OneOn's ZMA very effective. I've also started taking afternoon power-naps which also helps! I really think taking good care of yourself and listening to what your body is telling you is vital!
